A variable is a property of a statistical unit. The page is divided into several boxes, one for each variable, where you can select values by click to highlight one or more values. Descendants: Native-born with two foreign-born parents.

The frequency is calculated by dividing the amount of enrolled students in a given group by the total population in the group. Example: Frequency Enrolled students upper secondary education, age 16-29 = (16-29 enrolled in upper secondary education) / (Total 16-29 population). Percentages or frequencies are produced with a base of a minimum of 50 individuals per cell.
Country background: Foreign-born with two foreign-born parents = their own country of birth. Descendants = mother's country of birth, or father's country of birth if mother's is unknown. Rest of the population = Reporting country i.e. one or both parents' country of birth is the reporting country.
